I was looking for a new bike to replace my 2004 Giant OCR2 that I bought from a friend. I rode it for about 200 miles just to get a feeling for a road bike. Went to a few bike shops and finally landed at the Pro Bike Shop in Alexandria, VA. Took the bike for a spin and it felt great. This bike has a very smooth shifting due to the full Sora flightdeck and components and stiff braking power with Axis wheels and brake calipers. The 25mm tires, aluminum frame, and carbon FACT fork makes every ride very enjoyable. In addition, the colors are very dashing. As for the ride itself, during the week I ride about 6 miles round trip for work and on the weekends I ride about 16-25 miles. For the 16 mile trips, it's very hilly, so the 18 speed drivetrain can really tackle the hills with ease and can go very fast on the descends. Overall, I have to say it's a great bike for under $1000.
