Product Details

Avid X0 Trail Hydraulic Disc Brake Kit

Take on bigger descents, nastier trails, higher speeds and brake later than ever with Avid's exceptional X0 Trail brakes. These powerful 4-piston brakes weigh in at near cross-country weights, and let you shed speed with authority. With Avid's Contact Point Adjustment, Power Reserve Geometry, and lever reach adjust it's simple and easy to choose between the modulation of a longer throw or the instantaneous power of a short throw. Combine that with Avid's Deep Stroke Modulation and TaperBore technology that gives you incredible control over these hugely powerful brakes and you have some of the most customizable, controllable stoppers around.

        Comments:

Extremely powerful brake when paired with a 200mm or 203mm rotor. I use it with semi-metalic pads and a Shimano Ice Tech 203mm rotor. It is the best set up that I ever used. It needs to be carefully aligned when mounted or it can squeal loudly. Align with a business card paper over the rotor. Then slide caliper with pads or paper and rotor. Then tighten each bolt in small increments while holding lever tight.
